This is a "distressed property." Sacred Heart was a thriving local Catholic church until the wicked ways of the larger church caught up to it. Congregations have fled to other denominations and the Diocese has consolidated parishes and sold off buildings to pay the legal bills.
What will become of Sacred Heart? It's for sale --it would seem. Generations of rabbits, squirrels, sparrows and untold other creatures call it home. It's very quiet inside. It has many, many stories to tell.
