Imaginary & Real
The top two drawings here were done in my studio. They are completely made up and imaginary. I think they look "real." The next three are done from life in the woods near my home.
The final images are from a book I illustrated a few years ago written by Caroline Starr Rose titled "Over in the Wetlands." More on this subject later. But in brief: What influence does proximity have on the truth of the image? In so many ways, they are ALL imaginary. And our goal in Life seems to be to bridge the gap somehow in ALL our endeavors. Salut!
